WORKBC RECRUITMENT CAMPAIGN

The WorkBC recruitment campaign will encourage British Columbians to
reach out to family and friends outside the province, encouraging them
to move to B.C. to live and work. The campaign will be rolled out
through province-wide print, radio and internet ads.

* The campaign features photos and recordings from well-known British
Columbians from a variety of key business sectors who deliver the
message that B.C. is a great place to live and work:
- Art Aylesworth, CEO of Caramanah Technologies
- Nadine Caron, surgeon and UNBC professor (also named to Maclean's "100
people to watch")
- Karimah Es Sabar, president LifeSciences British Columbia
- John Fluevog, designer and founder of Fluevog Shoes
- Terry Hui, president and CEO of Concord Pacific
- Paul Lee, president of EA Worldwide Studios
- Jimmy Pattison, CEO of the Jim Pattison Group
- Lui Passaglia, executive and former athlete with the BC Lions
- Chip Wilson, founder of lululemon athletica
- Economic Development Minister Colin Hansen
- Finance Minister Carole Taylor

* Two celebrity spokespeople, Chip Wilson and Jimmy Pattison, will be
featured in print ads that will run provincewide in daily, community and
ethnic papers between April 28 and May 13. The 30-second radio ads will
alternate on radio stations across B.C. during that time. Jimmy Pattison
and Chip Wilson will also be featured in video clips on the campaign
website

* All of the ads direct people to the 'B.C. is Calling' website,
www.bciscalling.ca, for instructions on sending an electronic postcard
(e-card) or a voicemail message to someone they know, asking the person
to come to B.C. to live and work. These e-cards and messages all
feature the photos and recordings from well-known British Columbians.
