Nathan Cullen with Humboldt MP Brad Trost in Terrace Hockeyville jerseey

Ottawa - This week in the House of Commons, MP Nathan Cullen (Skeena Bulkley-Valley) had the great pleasure of presenting Saskatoon-Humboldt MP Brad Trost with his very own Terrace is Hockeyville jersey.

Cullen had issued a challenge to the member for the Saskatchewan town, which placed a very close second in the Hockeyville finals. As a result, the Humboldt representative had to wear a Terrace jersey in the House of Commons.

“I had no doubt in my mind that I would see Brad wearing our jersey” said Cullen, “I’ve seen the commitment of the people of Terrace and all the Northwest in the face of many challenges. They always come through.”

Last Saturday was no exception.

Cullen was part of the packed house at the Terrace Hockeyville Headquarters as the results were announced live on CBC Hockey Night in Canada. The excitement built as the runners-up were announced before erupting when Terrace was crowned champion of Hockeyville 2009.

“I am just thrilled to be a part of this” said Cullen “congratulations to everyone who worked so hard and voted so often to make this dream come true. I`d also like to congratulate all of the other towns that worked so hard to become Hockeyville finalists. The competition was certainly stiff.”

“Terrace IS Hockeyville!”
