New and exciting American President Barack Hussein Obama demonstrates tried and true wisdom by including opponents within his administration, following Abe Lincoln's example in a policy known to have been employed by Genghis Khan, who rewarded those who conceded to his dominance, but the founder of the policy of drawing one's enemies into your own tent is Jesus Christ, and it is there that Mr. Obama fell short of perfecting his inauguration. Assessments of this inauguration speech fall short of expectations and my analysis notes an excess of pandering to militants in the choir, rather than using his platform to distinguish himself from both the Founding Fathers and outgoing incumbent George W. Bush, who will be remembered for monumental blunders, the most atrocious being his cowboy act as the avenging Texas Ranger out to kill and destroy anything that moved beyond the pale of his right wing agenda.
At the critical point in addressing the listening world, the 44th President chose words that might have been spoken by the first President George W., which were repeated ad nauseam by the latest and the worst President, George W., warning all their enemies that they would be defeated. While belligernet tones may be necessary to fend of attacks, the ultimate priority of a Leader is his people's safety, and in pusuit of that objective Barack Obama had one chance to draw a new line in the sand by declaring his preparation to emulate the Lord by Loving his enemies until they are drawn out of their hatred for the West.
This plays into policies of hatred fostered by the dark side of modern history and will bite this administration. Those who draft disaffected loners into their campaigns of terror rely on the rhetoric of our leadrship to justify use of suicide attacks and one sentence of light could have dispelled thousands of deaths at the hands of aspiring terrorists.
This blunder in emulation of the Cheney doctrine stands out as the first failure of President Obama to continue his own mantra of change. There is no solution to world economic problems outside of healing a totally disconcerted world population. I am afraid the rhetoric is more machiavellian cant intended to mollify fctions within his nation, and that is the error we were promised would not be repeated.
I am concerned that enthusiasm for this fresh new face might not be well placed and will be short lived simply because this aspiring Black hero forgot the most famous of all political policies, to first of all "Love one's enemy."
Bush felt that Heaven wanted him to bomb babies; Barack didn't end that threat, casting a sad scary pall upon his beginning.
