REPORTING · 23rd June 2008

I see the act of the Government taking the Mace from its' place in the House as a subtle but deliberate declaration of the real attitude felt by Canada toward us and of how they actually feel about their misdeeds, past and present; the apology was neutered by the ploy which conveyed to hard line "rednecks" that no notice need be taken of the proceedings. The Speaker's body language and facial expression underscored the act.

The insecurity of individuals whose contradictory words and deeds are testament to why the world and this country are in decline, which can only be arrested when Indigenous people are fully respected for who we are. We hold rights in the land because of our love for life and the Planet returns our devotion. When we bring our symbol of truth and place it beside the Mace then the world will move to the higher level of being reserved for that date and event, and life will be the sweeter for it.

It is impossible to rule over land and people in which the true owners are dishonored and disrespected, indeed until we are each revered by all, as the Prime Minister and the Premiers can only vainly hope to be while they persist in such facetious acts as I saw them do.

Remember the proverb: touch not the landmark of the orphan, for Heaven observes it all!!."
