PRINCE GEORGE - The Coroner's inquest into the death of four-year-old Amanda Jean Simpson has been scheduled. Amanda was found unresponsive in her home on Oct. 30, 1999. She was transported to BC Children's Hospital in Vancouver where she later died on Nov. 2, 1999.

The inquest is scheduled for June 11-15, 2007. Presiding coroner Beth Larcombe and a five- person jury will publicly hear evidence from subpoenaed witnesses in order to determine the facts surrounding the death. The jury will have the opportunity to make recommendations aimed at preventing deaths under similar circumstances in the future.
