At about 20 minutes before 4 PM this afternoon, Wednesday December 12, a moderate 5.6 magnitude Earthquake shook the southern tip of the Queen Charlotte Islands.

The exact coordinates are:

Location 52.277°N, 131.349°W

Earlier in the day, at approximately 9:30 AM, there was a quake in the Southern Aleutian Islands region that measured 5.2 on the Richter scale.
