PRINCE GEORGE - The Coroner's Inquest into the death of three-year-old Savannah Hall has been scheduled. Savannah was found unresponsive in her foster-care residence on Jan. 24, 2001. She was transported to BC Children's Hospital in Vancouver where she later died on Jan. 26, 2001.
The inquest is scheduled for Oct. 22-26, and Oct. 29-Nov. 2, 2007. Presiding Coroner Scott Fleming and a five-person jury will publicly hear evidence from subpoenaed witnesses in order to determine the facts surrounding the death. The jury will have the opportunity to make recommendations aimed at preventing deaths under similar circumstances in the future.
