REPORTING · 10th June 2007
Merv Ritchie
Highway 16 between Prince Rupert and Terrace is opened again due to the efforts of CN, Don Ramsey stated today, June 10. He claimed that now that CN has “plugged the gap in the rail bed” the highway crews could get in to repair the road.

This situation is at a location approximately 25 kilometers west of Terrace. Ramsey advised that they are controlling the traffic, currently, in a single lane alternating pattern with the occasional 20 minute delay.

The “One Way” control of the Cranberry Connector has been suspended as the highway 16 route east of Terrace has reopened. The highway will be closed during the evening hours however and they are still working at the slide side to construct a “retainment and catchment” area.

The Nass highway to Greenville has been reopened to two lane traffic.
