The Rupert Daily has learned that the fiber optics cable between Terrace and Prince Rupert was damaged and possibly severed due to the flooding and high water event. This also damaged a PNG gas pipeline.

We have no other details than this. It was reported during a media briefing this afternoon, Sunday June 11.
