Prince Rupert has fuel again as the Coast Guard Vessel “The Sir Wilfred Laurier” delivered 100,000 liters of diesel today, Jim Whyte, the Director of Operations for the Provincial Emergency Program told the media gathered today during a conference call

“Petro Canada has a barge loaded with a couple of a million liters of gas and diesel which should arrive by Tuesday,” Whyte assured the media, “BC Ferries has also made extra space available.”

The Highway to Rupert has been reopened as well as CN has plugged the hole that was allowing the Skeena River to flood across the tracks onto the highway.
