(and all of Canada), not just B.C.

BC Premier Christy Clark said the west coast "doesn't just belong to British Columbia", but some British Columbians disagree.

"British Columbia's coast does not just belong to British Columbia,” BC Premier Christy Clark said last week. The statement has sparked both environmental and economic discussions about responsibilities and rights to British Columbia’s coast.

“It belongs to Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Quebec, Ontario and the Atlantic provinces and it's essential that our ports and our infrastructure all across the west are functioning as well as they possibly can, because that's what allows trade to flow outside our country and that's what puts people to work," Clark said.

She made the controversial comment during a discussion with other provincial leaders from Alberta and Saskatchewan over energy strategy and the Northern Gateway pipeline.

Christy Clark, keep flapping your lips!!!

The Dec. 22/11 "Premier Clark says BC's Coast belongs to Alberta". My, my, my, - how things stay the same, different face, same message!

It is rather arrogant to be making the same type of statement as her predecessor, Glen (aka) Gordon Campbell, aka an arrogant so-called leader of what? Now we know why she stalled a provincial general election - to give herself lots of time to dig her own grave!
She is doing an excellent job and quite successful so far. She is flapping her lips for the wrong reason and the wrong sector, how about the young people who will live with her erroneous decisions while she is in that temporary position of Premier! It will be an easy cake walk for Adrian Dix when the Provincial General Election is called so KEEP UP THE LIPS FLAPPING EPISODES, CHRISTY!
Premier Clark says Alberta owns BC
Comment by David Dickinson on 23rd December 2011
So now we're back to the old racist line that First Nations people don't exist? Will Alberta now be conducting treaty negotiations with the Haida, the Tsimshian, and the Haisla? Perhaps the Albertans could hire Ezra Levant as their negotiator and the coastal First Nation could be represented by Elmer Derrick. Christy Clark and her Southern Liberal Party are as much foreigners to us in the Northwest as the Albertans. They don't understand us and they don't listen to us, yet they make all the decisions affecting us.
