Fares for the Prince Rupert Transit System has changed as of July 1.

Cash fares for adults will increase 25¢ from $1.50 to $1.75, $1.25 to $1.50 for seniors and students. All other fares, including tickets and monthly passes, will be adjusted accordingly.

The increase was approved by the City of Prince Rupert in May 2010. Funding for transit service is cost shared between the City of Prince Rupert and BC Transit.

Decisions about fares, routes and service levels are made by the Prince Rupert City Council based on information and planning provided by BC Transit.
