The Honourable David Emerson, Minister of International Trade, will represent Canada at a World Trade Organization (WTO) informal ministerial meeting hosted by Australia in Paris, which will take place on May 16, 2007.



The objective of the meeting is to assess the current state of the WTO negotiations and discuss how best to promote progress in these talks. Canada is committed to the objectives of the WTO Doha Development Agenda and to ensuring that we remain well positioned to advance our interests in the rules-based multilateral trading system.
